Meet the 2027 Color of the Year: Celery SW 6421
A light, muted herbal green with soft yellow undertones. Sherwin-Williams describes it as a "tinted neutral" — calm enough to live with every day, but with more personality than beige or gray.
Celery was chosen by the Sherwin-Williams Trendsight Team from its 2027 Colormix® Trend Forecast, called Rewild — a 48-color collection built around heritage, self-expression, and reconnecting with nature. The big picture is clear: after years of cool grays and stark black-and-white, color is moving toward warmer, earthier, nature-inspired shades. Other major paint brands also landed on greens for 2027, which tells us this isn't a one-brand fad.
The Coordinating 2027 Palette
Sherwin-Williams paired Celery with a curated set of companion colors. These are the ones we think matter most for windows and doors:

Best Sherwin-Williams 2027 Colors for Your Front Door
The front door is the easiest — and most rewarding — place to bring the 2027 trend to your home. Here's how we'd use the palette:
- Artichoke SW 6179 — our top pick. This muted olive is the outdoor-friendly version of the 2027 green trend. It looks especially rich against red brick and white or cream siding.
- Georgian Bay SW 6509 — a confident deep blue that suits Colonials and traditional homes and works beautifully with white trim.
- Cascades SW 7623 — a deep blue-green that feels historic and sophisticated, great for homes surrounded by mature trees.
- Kirsch Red SW 6313 or Red Barn SW 7591 — modern takes on the classic red door. Kirsch Red is brighter and cleaner; Red Barn is earthier and more traditional.
- Plum Brown SW 6272 — an elegant, softer alternative to a black door.
- Celery SW 6421 — the Color of the Year itself is a charming, cheerful door color for cottages, Cape Cods, and vintage-style homes. On larger or more formal homes, it often works better on a porch ceiling, a garden gate, or an interior door.

Which Window Frame Colors Go With This Palette?
You have two ways to go: choose one of the manufacturer's standard frame colors, or have us finish your windows in a custom Sherwin-Williams color matched to your palette (more on that below). Either way, these frame colors pair beautifully with the 2027 Sherwin-Williams palette.
Black and dark bronze
Still the strongest frame trend. Dark bronze is especially good with the 2027 palette because its warm undertone matches Artichoke, Cocoon and Plum Brown better than pure black.
Deep green
A dark green frame is right in step with the "Rewild" direction and looks timeless on traditional Maryland homes with brick and mature landscaping.
Woodgrain finishes
Sherwin-Williams paired Celery with a natural oak wood stain, and wood tones are central to the whole 2027 story. Woodgrain window finishes give that warmth without the maintenance of real wood.
Warm white or cream
If you prefer a light frame, choose a warm white over a cool, bright white. It will blend naturally with White Flour trim and Woven Wicker siding.
Our honest advice: windows are a 20–30 year investment, so pick a frame color you'll still love long after 2027 is over. A great approach is to keep the windows timeless and let the front door carry the boldest trend color — or match everything to one Sherwin-Williams palette for a fully coordinated look.
Custom Sherwin-Williams Colors for Your Doors & Windows
Found the perfect Sherwin-Williams color? You don't have to settle for "close enough." All Dwelling Solutions can deliver custom-colored products finished in Sherwin-Williams paint, including:
- Entry doors — make your front door the star in Artichoke, Georgian Bay, Kirsch Red, or any color you choose.
- Storm doors — matched to your entry door or trim so the whole entrance looks intentional, not like an afterthought.
- Windows — frames finished to coordinate with your siding, trim, and shutters.
- Patio doors — sliding and hinged patio doors that match the rest of your exterior.
We can custom-match any color from the Sherwin-Williams palette — the 2027 Color of the Year, the coordinating palette, the Rewild forecast, or a classic you already have on your home. Just bring us the color name or number (for example, Celery SW 6421), and we'll make your doors and windows match.
This is especially useful if your HOA requires a specific approved color, or if you want your new storm door, entry door, and windows to match perfectly instead of mixing three slightly different "bronzes" or "greens."
