Sliding Patio Door Replacement & Wall-Mounted Pet Door Installation in Rockville, MD
All Dwelling Solutions completed a full sliding patio door replacement and pet door installation through an exterior wall in Rockville, Maryland. This project combined two improvements: replacing the existing patio door with a new energy-efficient vinyl sliding door and creating a separate wall-mounted entrance for the homeowner’s pet.
New Vinyl Sliding Patio Door
The existing patio door was removed and replaced with a new white two-panel vinyl sliding patio door in 72 x 80. The new unit features double-pane tempered insulated glass with argon gas.
Our installation included proper leveling and securing of the new patio door, insulation around the frame with window and door foam, exterior and interior sealing, caulking, cleanup, and disposal of the old door and project-related materials.
Pet Door Installed Through the Wall
For convenient pet access without modifying the new patio door glass, we created a dedicated pet door opening through the exterior wall.
The installation required carefully opening the wall and working through the interior drywall, insulation, framing, and exterior materials. New framing and support were installed as required to create a properly prepared opening for the pet door. The surrounding area was then insulated, sealed, weatherproofed, and finished for a clean appearance inside and outside the home.
